Rover Scouts welcome young adults from 18 to 25 years of age. You don’t need to have any Scouting experience. Activities are planned and run by the Rover Scouts themselves – which means they are tailored to the requirements and interests of their members. Rover Scouts enjoy helping others, having a great time and taking on new challenges. You’ll need a ‘give it a go’ attitude and you’ll be rewarded with some serious fun. Action is at the core of all Rover Scout activities. Challenging outdoor activities such as kayaking, canyoning, hiking, skiing, four-wheel driving, rock-climbing, scuba diving and camping can all form part of a Rover Scout's calendar. There are heaps of national & international travel experiences for Rover Scouts to become involved in too. Social activities such as balls, bush dances, harbour cruises, nights out, car rallies and “Moots” (gatherings of Rovers on a local, national and international level) will feature on an active Rover Scout’s program. There’s a limitless number of opportunities to get to know new people at Rover Scouts. At Buderim Rovers, we are a group of nature loving outdoor enthusiasts, trying to watch more sunsets than Netflix. Our regular meeting is a Sunday afternoon, however we are flexible to accommodate our busy study and work lives. You can find us out camping, bushwalking, stand-up paddle boarding or four-wheel driving when we are feeling adventurous. On our more relaxed meetings we like to play boardgames, have a fire or test ourselves with a mystery cooking challenge You can check out what we’ve been up to on Facebook or Instagram.
